7:46 pm Saturday: This time in Bonston Bar, Richard has truly outdone himself. Not only is the stove pipe installed, and the wood stove bolted down, but he also cut the hole for and installed the pass-through hatch for the roof! And he managed to form the frame of the hatch to the curve of the roofline! I just can't believe how easy he makes it look. He also put some time into finishing the flue from the Hydroflame. Nice work so far...

The hatch has a minor leak from one of the factory seams, so it'll take a bit of sealant. Its been raining all day, so there's also water entering through the stove flue. Looks like that will clear up when the pipe cap is permanently installed.

I inventoried my miscellaneous collection of brass propane fittings, it looks like I have nearly everything I'll need. Still worried about making all those fittings seal; leaks in the roof hatch are regretable, but leaks in propane are a hazard.

Aside from those items, what next? I laid out some partitions in chalk, also layed out a kitchen cabinet. Maybe I could talk to Richard about getting a start on some cabinetry. Getting the battery hooked up is pretty close. I'd like to be able to use the 1/2/both switch and start experimenting with the inverter/charger. I could ask Richard to do some electrical work as soon as I get the 120v circuit breaker box. Rona (in Canada) had the box and also the circuit breakters for not a lot of money. The propane is first I hope.

9:21 am Sunday: Dag nab it, I got up this morning and realized I'd unplugged the lights in the garage, and so the inverter/charger didn't have power last night...which means my experiment to see if the batteries would fully charge didn't happen.

There's bear shit outside again. Haven't seen them yet, but the neighbors have. Doesn't feel like the wilderness, but it is. On a related note, I think there's more beauty here per square inch than practically anywhere. This morning while walking the dog a happened on our old weathered fence, overgrown with vines loaded with tiny white berries, like popcorn. Breathtaking...
