Yes I am back!  Its been a very long time indeed since the last posting but I find that I cannot wait another day to announce...that nothing is happening.  Or rather my roof rack guy at A&B Machine in Bellingham continues to tell me that the thing will be done next week.  He's been promising to have it done and ready for me to paint since when, May?  I can't even remember.

Meanwhile Mark has asked me to cut down on my drinking, which may indeed be a reasonable request but at the moment doesn't seem so.  I'd probably drink less if he wasn't always giving me a reason to fill my glass.

Today I went to Vancouver BC to hang with a friend, Terry, and glean some sewing tips for my fabu soon to be made wrap/robe/winter coat I've been fantasizing about.  Its an easy project I think.

The bus meanwhile is being fit with aluminum blanks for several windows toward the back...two with holes sized for some very wonderful round blue glass prisms.

No complaints basically, except for the usual bodily hurts going on.  Been fighting a host of seemingly insurmountable ailments, including a nasty sinus infection, some serious allergy stuff that I've never dealt with before, and herpes outbreaks on my tongue.  Oh, joy.  Thank god I kiss no-one.

The good news I've recently rediscovered gin & tonics, with a drizzle of lime...I could drink a line of them...no wonder Mark is paying attention.  Mostly I think its because of the heat, they are after all so very cool.

The Fashion Police car has been undergoing some minor cosmetic changes, all to the good I assure you...

And then I've been imagining what life would be like if I were to actually invest in a mutual fund that doesn't actually lose money, and in that vain I've been imagining what life would be like if I were to sell my house in West Seattle, which is worth on the order of $200K for 800 square feet if you can believe that.   The nice part is after I pay off the mortgate I'm left with a tidy $140K, minus realtor fees etc.  Not sure about capital gains, but it seems that if I sell it by September I don't owe taxes, something about a 5 year rule...

What I really want is to paint the bus up, and finally begin on the internal stuff (bath, kitchen, propane etc).  I've got the wood stove, but need some final finish parts, like the ceiling penetration.   Not even sure where to take the bus assuming it does indeed become pretty enough to travel, but heck I figure by the time I've retired and have time to kill, it'll be ready.
