Back again...A hard drive on my computer decided to die a week ago, so have spent some time transfering files etc to a working hard drive, glad I backed up most of my stuff. The website anyway is fine, I think.

Heard back from bus roof rack guy (Jim at A&B in Bellingham) the other day. He's got a familiar message: Prices are rising, his material costs will increase approx 10-15% from previous estimates. So I'm likely looking at $700+, or more than I paid for the bus. Still, seems like a good way to improve the bus, even maybe increase its value (by way of a roof mounted deck).

I've rolled on two coats of Snow White RV paint on the roof, the stuff goes on weird, could use another coat I think. Plus I'll need to sand some more. Since the bus is still in storage finding access to 120v isn't possible, but Roy suggested my birthday inverter, 400W which should be enough to run my shiny new random orbit sander. Tomorrow I'll try, if the weather permits.

Got back from Boston Bar, B.C. (cabin) tonight. Driveway ready and waiting for the bus. Lots of new leaves on the old grape vines. Mark measured the rooms for wood flooring. Then we made some custom window screens.

Meanwhile my tenants in Seattle are moving out. It seems the pit bull he had (unknown to me) attacked and killed the neighbor's beagle. Awful, needless, etc. The tenant is a nice guy, but a little clueless on how to care for (and discipline) a dog. The neighbor sued, won, and now I've got three potential new tenants and the house isn't even vacant yet. No complaints.
