Whew...I think I'm done with taking seats out. No pics yet, and anyway you can kinda imagine it. Big. Cavernous even. Enough room to bowl in. Maybe enough to live in?

Still doing a load of research on a lot of bus conversion sites, catalogs, etc. Lots of options, mostly spendy. Today I was wondering about insulation, and finding a cheap way to cover it up after its on the ceiling. Hmm, fabric? Painted? Painted fabric? What would be funny is something stretchy like pantyhose that you could tack in like upolstery. And paint.

Well, what did you expect, birch? Worse, formica?

So I also reversed a seat today, i.e. took out a left-hand one and installed it on the right side. Now we have a little booth to sit and do whatever in.

Been thinking more about painting the outside. Not sure. More ideas...my Crib Ride. She's my baby. Hmm...bowling alley...

Gawd, I'm finally at that point where I've lost count how many seats have come out. I think I've got six or so to go.

Also my friend Pat found me a wood stove today, which we picked up for $55. Looks good, though filled with sodden wood-ash. A bit rusty, small, with glass door, relatively new--perfect for the bus. Heavier than shit. I'll need some help getting it into the bus, and then figure out how to mount it, get stovepipe etc.

Mark didn't seem that thrilled with the idea, something about to soon for buying stuff, but I think it will be good. Admitedly I'll have to work around it because once its in the bus it isn't leaving. It isn't like I'm buying all the appliances before I begin the install (like some people recommend), this was an exception.

And then I found this cool site for architectural details--wall coverings, finials, you name it...nice stuff but expensive. Outwater Plastics. Good for ideas though; it would be neato to have a niche, suitable for a virgin. And some embellishments on the ceiling, etc. We'll have to see what we can come up with 2nd hand.
