Basically, this is just a set of simple rules, so
that you can create characters, vehicles and have
both normal and auto combat. I suggest that you have
played other RPGs before, and also the I'76 computer
game before you start with this one, so that you
                    know what it's all about.

I haven't described the world of
I'76 at all in the game: it's up to the gamemaster
to do that. He also must create fun adventures for
his players. However, if I get a good response from
you out there, I may do more for the game in the
                    future. Have fun!

       Additional testing made me realize
there was need for another upgrade, and here it is,
v1.2. It is just a minor change to combat rules and
the car damage system. I also upgraded the vehicle
sheets so they will fit the new rules.

This is the final version of the
RPG, and no more changes will be done. I won't
update this page any longer, but it will stay up
until the day I need the Web space for something
more important. The reason is simple: There is no
need for more updates. The RPG turned out to be as I
wanted. My friends and I enjoy it as it is. I hope
                    you do too. : )

                    Hello there!

My name is Rad, and I am the
original creator of Burning Rubber, the I'76
roleplaying game. Bored and without anything to do I
just typed in "Interstate 76" along with my old I'76
handle in Google, and boy was I suprised to find
your page. I can't believe that the game is still
availible, and I thank you so much that you've kept
it and taken the effort to host it. Sadly, I lost my
copy a few years ago when one of my harddrives
crashed, and have only a paper copy left. It will be
great to be able to download the document again. Oh
sweet Nostalgia! Wonder if anyone ever played it,
besides me and my friends back then?

You have my full permission to host
the game with the sheets, but you might want to
remove the ugly background image as it looks really
bad on today's resolutions. I prefer to keep my real
name and this e-mail address hidden from the public
though, but I wonder if I should give you a Hotmail
adress to use on the page. Got to think about that.

Also, as you know, the old URL to
the game is not longer active, and don't really need
to be shown. As English isn't my native tongue I
appologise for the bad spelling and grammar, but I
did my best at the time.

I kind of find it funny to read
today though, and it clearly shows that I was more
eager to get the game done and playable than to
correct the errors. I am also certain you'll find
bad spelling and grammar in this mail as well (he
                    he).

       Well, thank you again!

       Best regards,
