AND WOW, MY HEART SOARS
Hope Fuller
Emerald Heights PTA 1.3.16

I see a robin fly by,
A black-capped chickadee hop from branch to branch,
Pine trees swaying,
Emerald green bushes,
A woodpecker clinging to a tree,
It speaks to me

The woodpecker fluently tapping,
The whisper of the wind,
A frog croaking,
Birds playing in the under growth,
This is what I hear,
And it speaks to me

I smell fresh crisp air, and the strong scent of pine
It speaks to me

Cool smooth rocks under foot,
a frog hops by,
I catch it, it is wet and slippery.
That is what I touch,
And it speaks to me

I taste the wind as it blows by,
It is cold and it leaves a dry taste in my mouth,
Warning me of the coming winter
It speaks to me

Peaceful and contented, blissful and calm,
These are my emotions,
And they speak to me

And wow, my heart soars

One of the things that inspires me is being outdoors with nature.
