Ever since he was found, half buried in a box of kitty-litter, nearly crushed by the falling spars and ropes of a wrecked man-o-war during the infamous Zuma Beach Boat Lift, he knew he would rise out of this sweltering hellhole and outshine all the lights on those scorched and smoggy overvalued hills.....

Ok, all we can say truthfully about that paragraph is that it was in English. Sorta.

The truth is, well, a little more mundane.:

I was born in Los Angeles' Chinatown (at French Hospital, no less!) , on 19 Yaxkin, 5082 (or, if you prefer, 2 Imix, 12.17.12.0.1, Long Count) more commonly known as 5/8/4602 (a Snake Year) , coincidentally the same date as Caligula in the Roman calendar. I grew up in the nation's cultural capital - yep, Hollywood! I was educated at Fairfax High, and then took the long cross-town ride to Occidental College.

While I was at Oxy, I spent half a year at the American University in Cairo, and then a season at an archaeological dig at Petra, in Jordan.

Upon Graduation, I came north to Seattle, the Emerald City, where I attended Montlake Community College. This was sort of a mistake, as it dashed my dreams of a professorship. During that I wandered in Taiwan.

Eventually I ended up being employed by a small digital-image provider, which grew into a large digital-image provider.

When not getting paid to look at pictures, I enjoy the outdoors, yelling at my computer, and watching way, way too many DVDs
