Samia Panni
is a vocalist, producer, band leader, composer, percussionist and radio
programmer, who was born in Bangladesh, raised internationally as a
daughter of an ambassador and sings in half a dozen languages. She has
performed with various international groups, including Beija Flor and
L'Orquestra Afrisound.
Joyce Yarrow
is a poet/singer/songwriter originally from New York City who loves
blending music and spoken word. She has created several multimedia performance
pieces, has toured with an improvisational jazz group called Total Reflex,
and is also the author of two mystery novels.
Rosemary
Bell trained as a classical musician
but later had a strong desire to explore world music through the study
of Cuban and Brazilian percussion. She was a founding member of Seattle's
first all-girl rock group, The Flaming Pies and sang and played percussion
for ten years in Grin 'n Barret.
Denny
Stern has been performing as a percussionist in the Bay Area
and the Pacific Northwest for the past twenty years. Working with the
top ensembles, Denny's percussive versatility is apparent in the power
and ease with which he plays Cuban, African and Brazilian rhythms.
Rebeqa
Rivers With
a Bachelors' degree in vocal studies, Rebeqa has been performing and
teaching in the Seattle area for four years. Recently she has performed
with Latin band, Totiyo y amigos, as well as soloing for the Neodandi
Fashion House.
