If you know the code, here are my parenting biases: AP (attachment parenting), EC (elimination communication) and TCS (Taking Children Seriously). I'm absolutely, incontrovertibly opposed to punishment, corporal or otherwise. I believe in getting everyone's needs met, in priority order, and assuming that over time, people of all ages, colors and shapes want to take care of themselves and help others do the same and will be the best they can be in a setting that is supportive. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm probably an unschooler. I certainly dearly love John Holt's writing. We need to make changes to our society to better support good parenting, including breastfeeding, if we want our world to be safe and sustainable. Baby containers worry me.
