Various Scotch Whisky Drinks

I bet you're thinking, but wait, there are _scotch_ drinks? Yes! Some good ones! Okay, there are Scotch drinks that I like a lot.

Blood and Sand

Even if you shake everything, you probably want to take a moment and just stir this one. It's better that way.

.75 ounce Glen Rothes
.75 ounce Cherry Heering
.75 ounce Antica Vermouth
.75 ounce Blood Orange Juice

Blood and sand Blood and sand

Monol of the Glen

1.75 ounces Glen Rothes or other Scotch
.75 ounce Cointreau
a barspoonful or a bit more Antica
2 dashes chocolate bitters
lots of orange zest

This hit a lot of the same notes for me as those dark chocolate oranges. I have a really hard time remembering that this drink even exists and I never remember the ingredients.

Monol of the glen

Rob Roy

I was doing a bunch of cooking one day -- sole meuniere from a meal kit, some chocolate cupcakes my daughter and I made. I also had one of these. It was all very tasty.

1.5 ounces Glen Rothes
1 ounce Antica Vermouth
2 dashes Orange bitters
Luxardo cherries

Meal kits Rob Roy

When I was putting this page together, I thought, hey, I have some Laphroaig! Let's see how weird of a Rob Roy I can make. If you like Laphroaig, you might really love this drink. Stir the heck out of it! It's better cold. I was going to put Scrappy's Chocolate Bitters into it, but I chickened out and went with Peychaud's. I might try the Scrappy's Cardamom if I ever do this again.

1.5 ounces Laphroaig
1 ounce Punt e Mes
2 dashes Peychaud's.
Luxardo cherries
