Ron's life of leisure

I first met Ron when I started working at Boeing. I was living in a studio apartment on Capitol Hill and Ron asked where I lived. I said: "Are you familiar with Capitol Hill?" He replied: "Just barely". So I told him I lived directly behind the Baskins and Robbins and he asked: "The white brick building or the red brick building?" When I answered the "white one", he said: "Oh. I live 3 doors down from you." It turns out he has lived in the same place for over 30 years and he knows the area as well as anyone. When Kathie and I moved back to "the hill" in 1992, we lived (where I do now) five blocks from Ron's house. Ron called me one day to ask me: "How's life in the suburbs?" He does live closer to Broadway than I do but I'm not that far away.

Ron just recently retired from Boeing and has spends his days reading, walking, and visiting. He always has good stories to tell and has many good friends. He always greets you with a smile and is happy to see you. He has a great porch on his house, where he sits many warm days, observing the local pedestrian traffic.
