New Trikes

One Man's Obsession

Trikes . . . Not quite cars, not quite motorcycles. Why build and drive them? First, they're cheap. Second, reverse trikes have excellent handling properties. Third, they have access to a wider variety of power plants and engines than any other vehicles. Fourth, their side mounted weapons have overlapping fields of fire. Fifth, their small size makes them difficult to hit with most weapons.

Do they have drawbacks? Of course. Their compact size provides a very limited amount of space for weaponry. Additionally, they do half damage and take double damage in collisions due to their light weight.

     Accel. 10, Top Speed 120, H.C. 4, Wt. 1599 lbs.

Notes: The Mosquito is fast, maneuverable, hard to hit, and inexpensive. Its ram plate is best used against other cycles, as the vehicle is too light to do much damage to cars. Its ice dischargers pose a threat when combined with the driver's vehicular shotgun and the passenger's submachine gun.

Pyramid Motorsports "Fulcrum" - $9,276
Med Reverse Trike, Standard Chassis, Heavy Suspension
     Super Cycle Power Plant
     Heavy Duty Radial Tires

     Accel. 10, Top Speed 120, H.C. 4, Wt. 1997 lbs.

Notes: The Fulcrum is designed to use its ice gun and ice dischargers in combination with the passenger's submachine gun to turn other vehicles over (thus, "fulcrum"). Its ram plate is best used against other cycles, as the vehicle is too light to do much damage to cars.

Pyramid Motorsports "Swarm" - $47,800
Heavy Trike, X-Hvy Chassis, Heavy Suspension
     100 C.I.D. Gas Engine w/Multi-barrel Carb.
1 Gallon Dueling Tank, 1 Gallon Gas
     Puncture Resistant Tires
Heavy Duty Shocks, Heavy Duty Brakes
Two Variable Fire Rocket Pods (Left & Right)
Blow Through Concealment on both Rocket Pods
60 Armor Piercing Laser Guided Rockets

     Armor: F39, R35, L35, B10, T20, U10
     Accel. 5, Top Speed 60, H.C. 2, Wt. 3356 lbs.

Notes: Trikes have never gotten much respect . . . Until now. While the Swarm is neither agile nor fast, it packs an earth shaking punch. Since trikes' side mounted weapons have overlapping fields of fire, the Swarm's twin V.F.R.P.s can unleash an unholy salvo of TWELVE rockets in a single shot. These rockets are guided by a military targeting laser, allowing them to hit on a 4 or better with no range penalties. The rockets themselves do 1d6+1 each. That's an average of about 45 points of damage per salvo.
