Also, please note the change of the address for the links page.
Iit's now at sjgames.com.

Just a quick thing - Diary of a Road Duellist will be
returning to HVD.  Much of the special fatures will be devoted to this
event.  Or to be more precise, they will feature extra information
about this subject.  If anyone has any ideas, both for special features
and even a future episode - then please send them in.

All these links can be found at

Any contributions, news or questions can be sent to.

Please support the design competition and issue #6 of HVD.
Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.  The design
competition in particular requires your contributions.  Also the
'Diary of a Road Duellist' is about to make it's comeback and it
will comprise the special feature - anyone with ideas or
contributions, especially fiction - please respond.  The next issue
will be released late June.

below.  It is going to run from 13-15 FEB 1998.  In Pasco -

Geoffrey Gowan is looking for programmers, artists, sound

provide a full-time or near full-time commitment to the project for
about a year.  Compensation is negotiable.  Here are some addresses

I stumbled on this while doing a search for Car Wars - it is
a computer game that has a history very similair to Car Wars - I
don't know how it plays or how similair it is to CW - but it looks
pretty good.  Here is the web page (shareware available):

Duel #3 will start in around September, I won't be refereeing
this one, but please contact me if you are interested in playing.  At
the moment duel #1 is closing down (I'm dead - after rolling and fire)
duel #2 is also continuing on well.  Check out the pages for more

Recently SJ-Games asked for volounteers to assist the creation
of their online pages.  While the position has been filled (I believe)
- it is still a good idea to put yourself down as available to help.
Support the official pages at least.
        No new updates.

OFFICIAL AADA PAGES:                                    OLD
AADA pins are available again, and some more AADA world
championship news has been added.
                                                LAST MOD 13-MAY

HASTUR:                                                 **
A relatively new chapter (founded in 1995) has just
started up thier web page.  It currently contains mostly vehicle
designs, but some other information has been added
                                                Last Mod: 5-MAY

NOVA:                                                   OLD
Again more stuff has been added to the NOVA pages - a few
new articles, designs, and a bit of other stuff.  Check this page
reguarly it is constantly updated.  They've also added a survey -
so do your bit and fill it in.
                                                Last Mod: 12-MAY

DRAW:                                                   ****
A new chapter has emerged on the web.  The Death Racing
Association of Washington - support this club and visit their pages.
Sorry for not mentioning this earlier.  They play with 3D like the
SEoAM group below.
                                                Last Mod: 20-APR

OFFICIAL CAR WARS HOMEPAGE:                             OLD
This has seen a few updates in the previous month or so,
included in their updates is a new Car Wars news section.  This
during the last month or so included a mention for HVD  - now the
SJ-Games Web-zine for Car Wars.  More information about the
conventions has also been added
                                                Last Mod: 13-MAY

A new page - which has just popped up - found it on the
SJ-Games site - ppl seem to be sending in their pages to them -
still I scooped them with HASTUR. The SEoAM pages looks pretty good -
in particular if you play in 3D or are looking at starting.
                                                Last Mod:

Next issue will be some limo rules - superior to the ADQ ones
I think - and the possibility of a serial fiction being added.  Thanks
to those who have offered submissions - and remember the CWML and HVD
need more people to do such things.
