This installation was made for the Northwest Bookfest that is held in Seattle annually.
The Archway was originally conceived by painter and project partner Carla Figueroa. It was designed into its final configuration by the team of three artists: Carla Figueroa, Heidi Breeze-Harris and Patricia Davidson.
The books used in the Archway were on their way to the landfill (as many books are not actually recycled due to binding style etc.)
The final archway was 12 feet high by 35 feet wide and weighed a lot.
