Windows XP: Internet Connection Wizard

This is the instructions for setting up your dial-up connection. If you need to check your settings please go to the Checking the Settings page.

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Click Control Panel. Start Menu
  3. Click on Network and Internet Connections. Connections
  4. Click on Internet Options. Internet Options
  5. In the Connections tab click once on Setup. Connections
  6. Welcome to the New Connection Wizard! Click Next. New Connection Wizard
  7. For the Network Connection Type select Connect to the Internet and click on Next. Connect to the Internet
  8. Select Set up my connection manually and click on Next. Set-up Connection Manually
  9. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click on Next. Dial-up Modem
  10. For your connection name enter Seanet and click on Next. Connection Name
  11. Now to enter Seanet's Number. Check the proper phone number to use. Put all 10 digits in the Phone number field. Click on Next. Enter Number
  12. Internet Account Information Account info Use your fully qualified username.

    premier1.net username@premier1.net
    ncia.com username@seanet.com
    Type in your password in the Password field and retype your password in the Confirm password field. Leave the first two boxes checked and uncheck Turn on Internet Connection Firewall. Click on Next.
  13. Completing the New Connection Wizard – Uncheck Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop. Click on Finish. YOU'RE DONE! DONE
