SPEACON ART GALLERY
CLOSE-UP AND PERSONAL
Have you ever been to an art gallery? You probably noticed
labels near the displays or a description placed on the wall that
describes the artist or lists the exhibits on display. One glance
around the room and you can see the whole show in one broad, general
sweep.
Whether or not you care about the artist's date of birth,
schooling or the list of exhibits he or she may have been in,
the information is available. Here in the art galleries of the
World Wide Web, there is another reason for including words and
lists: To give time for the network browser and the computers
time to download the pictures!
While you read this, an image called "The Handmade Dog"
is loading. It takes a few seconds. At the bottom you will see
yet another image is available--a close up. Someday, virtual art
galleries like this one will allow you to zoom in a more realistic
way. These are the things that occupy the thoughts and ideas in
SPEACON.
