Two views of "Bill's Gate" A Broadside by Bill Ritchie, 1988
C. T. Chew, stamp artist and art rug maker, and Bill
Ritchie collaborated on a project in 1988 to learn how CD/ROM
would affect the arts. Fifty people supported the experiment.
They bought sets of original fine art prints (four screenprints
inspired by computer graphics). When completed, they sent a lithograph--a
hand printed broadside--to the collectors as a final report.
You can see the details: C.T.'s face on a TV screen, center,
and Bill's near the upper left, surrounded by the tools of the
video and computer work they used.
Their work continues, each on their separate ways, using computers
for art, craft and design.
