N Hanging P Foxtrotters is located in Sheridan, Montana. We are in the southwest corner of Montana in the Ruby River valley. Sheridan is a small rural ranching and mining community. State Highways #287 and #41 are the main highways for reaching Sheridan. Interstate 90 is 40 miles north at Whitehall, and Interstate 15 is 40 miles south at Dillon. The second territorial capitol of Montana, Virginia City, is 21 miles southeast of our ranch. We are approximately 55 miles southeast of Butte, 90 miles southwest of Bozeman, and 100 miles northwest of West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park. So come see our Missouri Fox Trotters and explore Montana.
Our horses are raised at a 5000 foot elevation and they are free pasture roaming horses. They develop strong legs, muscles, and lungs. All the Fox Trotters we foal are blue papered, having at least four generations of registered Fox Trotters in their background. You will have to look very hard to find a better bred herd of Missouri Fox Trotters. Our horses are a mix of Golden Governor, Zane Grey, Toddy's Perfection and Mack K's Yankee breeding.
We have stopped our breeding program due to age and health reasons. We do plan to stay involved in showing and promoting of Missouri Fox Trotter horses, but on a limited basis. The horses we have offered for sale are the result of a Fox Trotting horse breeding program that we began in 1980. They are wonderful examples of our breeding program and it's main objective - Quality not Quantity.
