Education
World
This is possibly the most comprehensive education site I have
yet to see. It is a place where teachers can gather and share
ideas, find lesson plans and research materials, use a search
engine for educational Web sites only, as well as find information
without searching the entire Internet. Additionally it is a source
for information on the Web with news from USA Today, monthly site
reviews, and employment listings to keep educators up to date.
The result is Education World, the Educator's Complete Resource
Guide to the Internet.
Rethinking
Schools
Rethinking Schools remains firmly committed to equity and to the
vision that public education is central to the creation of a humane,
caring, multiracial democracy. While writing for a broad audience,
Rethinking Schools emphasizes problems facing urban schools,
particularly
issues of race. Rethinking Schools tries to balance classroom
practice and educational theory. It is an activist publication,
with articles written by and for teachers, parents, and students.
Yet it also addresses key policy issues, such as vouchers and
marketplace-oriented reforms, funding equity, and school-to-work.
