Jane woke up and looked out of her window: Windsor Castle. How beautiful! She packed her things, grabbed a taxi, and went straight to the airport. As her flight was landing, the view was just as excellent – through the wind and rain, she could just see the Space Needle. By the time she had driven to Coit Tower, it was a few days later. It was a marvellous drive down 101. She hopped on a plane, slept for the whole flight, and was delighted to see the Copacabana as her plane was landing. The boat ride took months, but the sight of the Parthenon the day after Jane arrived was enough to make it all worth while for her. After a few days sightseeing, she hopped on another plane, keen to see what the Kremlin would look like from the air. Touring red square was great, but the train ride afterwards got somewhat dull. Jane was happy to finally arrive and see the former site of Checkpoint Charlie – a lifelong dream for her. The next flight took ages, but the cabin crew were friendly and as she disembarked she was already anticipating seeing the Taj Mahal. The overland convoy to the sea, followed by the long boat trip, were somewhat demoralising. But Jane’s spirits were revived when she saw the pyramids at Giza for the first time in her life. After that, the short flight to see the Eiffel tower passed in an instant. When she arrived at the end of the trip, all she had were some marvellous memories, and five adhesive airline baggage tags, attached to her suitcase.
