I really enjoy the performing arts in most of their forms. I'm a subscriber to the Opera, Ballet, Symphony and three local theatre companies. I also see a lot of one-off concerts and comedy shows. I was thinking today that I really don't have any decent record of the stuff I've seen in the past 15 years, aside from a large pile of old programmes. And when a show doesn't give a programme (as Garbage didn't when I saw them last), I have no record at all.
So I'm going to try to reconstruct my past concerts, and keep a log of reviews of stuff I see going forward. This page used to contain those reviews, but now I've broken them into separate pages by art form:
Ballet - includes other dance
Opera - classic spectacle
Theatre - includes musical and drama
Music - concerts, classical and modern
Comedy - humour, satire, improvisation, wit
People - authors, readings, raconteurs
It seems to make sense to link to my book club here too. A different kind of performance:
