Replacing The Windshield

I removed the windshield by cutting around the gasket from the inside. This made it easy to remove. I sanded the frame and applied primer/sealer. The finished windshield bolster trim was installed, so the material folded over and around the frame, to be locked in place with the gasket. I got a new gasket from, once again, Nissan. Byron at Speedy Auto Glass installed the new gasket and windshield, and transfered the SS trim. I had them apply a 5" shaded band to the glass, which the tint guy expertly curved down at the corners. Looks really slick.

The windshield removed, and the frame prepped. The bolsters are in, and ready to be folded over around the frame.
I gave the gasket with the trim attached to the glass guy. I didn't want to screw up the trim by removing it myself.
There's nothing like a new windshield for making your car a joy to drive. You can see the tint band in this shot.
