The
Tarp Support Frame is constructed from 1-1/4" PVC plumbing pipe, and 90°,
45°, "T", and cross connectors. It is easy to build, and basic Tinker
Toy construction. The Frame sits on the side decks of the hull, held in
place by the mid and aft side cleats. It is supported in the front with
a short length of tube, which rests on the windshield center. It sits on
the swimstep aft, and is prevented from sliding backwards by the windshield
support, and tying it off to the side rails.
It is light, and
can easily be manipulated by one person. It works very well, and keeps
the tarp off the Arch and bimini cover.
