Front Suspension Work

When up from the front there arose such a clatter, I jacked it up to see what was the matter. The upper A-arm bearings and shafts were so worn, I could rock the A-arms back and forth. The right lower ball joint boot was gone, and the joint rusted out. All the steering link boots were torn or missing, as were the upper ball joint boots. As far as I could tell No One had ever  greased the 22 zerk fittings on the front end of this car.
I got new a-arm shafts and bushings from Nissan, as well as the ball joint. I removed all the steering links and ball joints, and cleaned out the joints. They were all in serviceable condition. I could not find replacement boots for either, so I used VW Beetle tie rod end boots for the links, and Audi 5000 ball joint boots. I sandblasted and painted the A-arms and hardware, and reassembled the front end. KYB shocks completed the job.

What a mess.
The parts sandblasted and ready to paint.
Ahhhh! That's better.
