Interior Work
Trim Panel Fabrication

The new interior panels are made from hard 1/8" fiberboard, traced out from the old pieces. They are cut out with a fine bladed jig saw. These are the patterns for the front kick panels, the rear quarter and package shelf floor panels. After cutting out, attachment holes are cut, and the pieces are coated with polyurethane for moisture protection. When covering the new panels, be sure to make one right and one left hand piece. This is the front lower package shelf panel being covered. There is a 1/2" layer of foam between the board and the upholstery material. The foam is glued onto the panel with spray contact cement. The material ia also sprayed, and the panel carefully laid in place. The edges are then folded over and glued with brush-on contact cement.
A rather poorly done composite of all the redone interior panels and new dash cover ready to intall. The perimeter trim bolster is in the rear. The pieces are-front to rear:
front 'a' pillar lower trim
dash cover
rocker panel trim
kick panels
door top bolster
package shelf front lower panel
package shelf floor panel
package shelf rear panel
rear quarter panels
'b' pillar trim
