will take you through the construction phase of the RADAR ARCH. The Arch
is constructed from urethane foam cores, sheathed with fiberglass mat and
resin. As it is not produced in a mold, the unit requires surface finishing.
The RADAR ARCH
is built in 3 pieces, comprising the left and right vertical struts, and
the transverse section. The struts are bolted and sealed to the hull, and
the transverse section is attached to the struts with a pull-down bolting
system. This joint, as designed, is extremely rigid, while allowing the
ARCH to be dissassembled and removed if necessary.
