This tree, a Corkscrew Willow, was planted about 30 years ago. It was about 5 feet tall then. Since that time it has grown to around 40 feet and has gotten completely out of control. Parts of it have died. The roots are destroying underground plumbing as well as pushing up sidewalks. It extends over the house, into the power lines and over the neighbor's yard, where it is entangled in their phone and power lines. In addition, I am tired of the continuous dropping of twigs as well as the extended leaf dropping period -- up to 4 months.
I have already gotten a favorable comment from a neighbor. He said "much better". He said that the tree was just hiding a beautiful house. I have to agree.
I hired "Best Tree Service" to take this tree down. Originally I was going to do it myself with help from my Daughter and son-in-law. However, after looking further into the job, I decided it was too hazardous for "weekend experts". After seeing these guys work, I think I made a good decision.
