Usage Summary:
A new development in sleep systems is offered for sale, 
license, or participation.  

The new system completely and evenly supports the sleeper 
without the differential pressures associated with 
conventional mattresses, including water-mattresses.   
Therefore, it can be used to prevent or treat decubis ulcer 
(bed sores), spinal injury, burns, comfort for the late term 
preggie, and almost any other condition aggravated by common 
beds.   Special ventilation is provided to keep the sleeper 
comfortable. 

Provisions are also made for treatment of specific wound such 
as bed sores, abrasions, burns, cuts, etc by spot application 
of therapeutic gasses and salves.  Other provisions and 
accessories treat sleep apnea and can provide traction and/or 
mobility exercise.  

Patent status: 
Reply to First Office action has been filed.  
There were no 103 obviousness objections, and the 102 
objection has been countered.  

Commercial Objective:
There are commercial uses with profit potential apart from 
any medical utility.   The risk of injury to reasonably healthy 
individuals is minimal and the system could be used to 
provide non-medical relaxation treatment.   The relief 
potential for preggies and general occupational or athletic 
stiff-and-sore is obvious.  

Medical Objective:
Treatments of condition as outlined above.  Such treatment 
should be tested under proper clinical oversight and FDA 
certification sought for the system as part of a patient treatment 
procedure.    No innovative medication is anticipated, but 
there are novel delivery features and the stress-free 
sleep/rest apparatus is in itself a relieving treatment for 
spinal stress related conditions and decubis ulcers.

Participation Sought:
There are opportunities for both clinical tryout and 
commercial applications.
