F.A.Q.
Q What is the origin of the band's name, "Hennessey?"
A From the official website: "The name Hennessey comes from a character in a Canadian novel by Ernest Buckler called The Mountain and the Valley. Herb Hennessey appears briefly, but signifies life outside the ordinary. He is the ultimate escape from the drudgery and frustration in life."
  Q Who is SugarJack? Why?
Also known as: I thought this band had five people?
A SugarJack is Pam Brennan, Rory Dyck and Mitch Pariseau. They perform as a trio (with occasional guests) doing Celtic-flavored folk and other fun stuff. The basic reason for having a different name is so that people know what to expect when they go to a show.

"If we didn't have the trio, we wouldn't have the full band. We wouldn't have been able to put out two independent CDs."
  Q Who is the drummer?
Also known as: Who's the drummer this time?
A The Hennessey drummers have been (in order):
1) Ari Tapiero - The original, with them during the recording of Dig It Up.
2) Larry Graves - played two gigs, including one in Hamilton ON which the band would rather forget.
3) Tom Bona - Appears on all tracks of Life on AM Radio. Left to follow other musical pursuits.
4) Chris Lamont - currently performing with EMI recording artist Damnhait Doyle.
5) Troy (Something) - A session player from Toronto.
6) Romano Di Nillo - Toured with Hennessey for about a year following the release of Life on AM Radio.
7) Brian Gould - Officially became the new guy in July 2001.
8) Dennis Griffin - aka Johnny PopTart. Played a few shows while the band was looking to replace Romano.
  Q Who is Hennessey Girl?
A Hennessey Girl is Pamela Brennan. Pamela Brennan is Hennessey Girl.
Q What is that typeface used on the albums? Where can I get it?
A Its called FF Harlem Normal, and is produced by the German type foundary FontFont from a design by noted Graphic Artist Neville Brody for the movie "Rage in Harlem." There is a cheap knock-off of a similar font (FF Harlem Slang) available, done by a Moxy Früvous fan (because the Fru-lads used the this font on their album, "You Will Go to the Moon"), called Hardly Slang.
  Q Isn't there a cognac called Hennessey?
A Sort of: there is, but its spelled a little different. There's also a couple towns called Hennessey... one in Oklahoma, and one in Illinois.
