Queen zzz'Omma -- Northerners' Name Usage:jn08txt2.html
37 Twasmire, 15910
The name zzz'Omma undergoes a curious change as one travels North
toward the ButterSnow Mountains. The honorific z's begin to reduce
in number and emphasis, and the leading vowel, 'O' gets pronounced
farther back in the Bee and Human Throat, with the distinctive
twang of the Northerner.
We have heard Bees pronouncing her name as 'z'Emma,' but when their
loyalty to this 'z'Emma' is questioned, they have to be restrained.
One wonders whether as we go further north, the z's might become
a vestigial lisp, beginning what would be pronounced very close to that
most common of all KinterSylvanian human names, 'Emma.'
