End of Week Two:zzz'Ora's Hive Region
Map of Journey Progress Shown

The trek to zzz'Ora's Hive was another bracing experience of Bee cooperation with Beasts and Humans, and resulted in the finding of a rare relic of some importance.

The find occurred while bees were out foraging for nectars. I was not personally used to this, as from my youth I have been nurtured by lesser bees, or their servant flies, and have taken nectar only from the mouths of others until this trip. It is quite unnerving to have to bury one's face deep into flower fecundity just for a few sprinkles of nectar. Fly nursemaids must have to visit dozens of flowers to provide the draughts that the Royals drink.

I understand, now, that the pollen which our dairy flies are always bathed in is not some sort of fetish, but is an occupational hazard of their hard life, an accompaniment of the dairies we provide for their raising and training.

Well, then, during our gay foraging, one of my trained archaeologists wandered into some flowers gracing a rock pile. Below a stand of Rookweed, the worker caught scent of a faint odor of processed sap, diffused, no doubt, by the hot sunlight bearing down on it, and the warm golden pollens of the Rookweed.

A closer examination revealed a hard-surfaced edge of 40 millimeters length, and about a honeycomb wall thickness. It was well beyond a bee's ability to unearth.

As a human's burden strength would be needed, along with a trampling of the meadow, an evacuation fragrance alarm wafted out to all meadow insects, and after a quite lengthy delay(Humans wanting to avoid any tramplings, with their swift murder trials.), finally a single human was dispatched to the scene of the find.

zzz'Ora's Hive Object

Seen above, the zzz'Ora's Hive Object is a diamond-shaped red slab of processed tree-resins. It's edges all measure 40 mm, an admirable orderliness, possibly showing early influences of bee management. One of our assayers deposited a caustic assay-honey onto the object's surface, yielding the following clear age scent.

It is no surprise to the antennae that the dating assay sharply wears the bouquet of year 7938, when the scent rings of ancient hives mark the ascension of Queen zzz'Omma to KinterSylvania's throne, forever gaining the succession to her lineage.

Dozens of objects like the zzz'Ora's Hive Object have been found, but none yet points to a date after Queen zzz'Omma. The red slabs, thought to have a religious significance, show by their disappearance at the ascension of Queen zzz'Omma(Bless Her Name), that Humans no longer served heavenly beings, or human ones, after the coming of 'She Who Watches.'

The find was an important field test of the expedition's cooperation in pursuit of KinterSylvanian history, and KinterSylvanian peace, and a reminder to us all that Bee ascendancy is not based on the collected ambitions of bees -- who could not possibly have them -- but based on strong historical roots, and on a unique figure, zzz'Omma, She Who Watches.

Scented into wax by me, zzzzz'ZOE, the Royal First Cousin, on this day, Two Twasmire, in the year 15910.
