The Journal Of BubbleLand Studies =================================== Textnote On Bee-Human Communication Humans have always shown a fondness for metals, which serves them well in written communications with bees. Adult humans are required to carry on their person at all times, a small slab of steel scrap -- Hive knows there is plenty of that left after the wars in KinterSylvania's past! -- upon which bee teams deposit, in script, whatever orders are required of humans, using either beewax, if the orders are to be shown to others, or honey, if the notes are quick and the orders volatile. The notes are licked off, or rubbed off by the humans, once they have been read and understood. The language of the notes is a written version of old Forester, which the humans cling to as their mother tongue. To communicate back, humans simply speak normally, as bees are quite intelligent, and capable of understanding sounds. One humorous note: Old tales claim that very small human grubs, or 'children' as they call them, can understand bee vocal speech. These tales persist despite the many papers written on the subject. A bee simply cannot vocalize loud enough to engage the human ear drum, unless, of course, the bee were to climb inside the child's ear and speak directly. The sheer terror that human grubs show at the approach of bees, should establish powerfully, that a child understanding bee speech, is no more than a fantasy.
