These
are the boats of the Hydroplane
and Raceboat Museum. When they put six of these boats out on a course
for an exhibition it is a great feeling to hear the sounds that use
to be common on the hydroplane circuit. It is also fun to watch the
fans on the shoreline as these fully restored legends of the past perform.
You can see the smiles on the faces as people relive there past.
The
Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum, located in south Seattle has over 600
members that are trying to restore a number of these boats to running
condition. I think that they have over 29 different hulls in their inventory
and still growing.
