Shrooms (Mycologist Lament)

Morels in early season
Like, maybe, April or May
Then during the rainy time of year
Boletus and Chanterelles appear
For mycologist to collect that day

There's all kinds of mushrooms
Mushrooms you can eat
They're found in older forests
They're found before your feet

I'm talking about Matsutakes
I'm talking Chicken of The Woods
I'm talking Orange Peel and Angel Wings
They all taste very good

It helps to know some folks
Who hunt them every year
Folks like old men and ladies
Their laughter you can hear

The women, they wear whistles
Wear whistles round their necks
They play a tune, a tune that's called
The Mycologist Lament
