My logo is adapted from a detail of the Tara Brooch, one of Ireland's best known antiquities. Made around the eighth century, it is displayed in Ireland's National Museum. It is ornately decorated on both sides and is a wonderful example of Hiberno-Saxon art (perhaps the most famous being the Book of Kells). This style was strongly influenced by Scandinavian interlace decoration, as can be seen in some of the woodcarvings on Norwegian stave churches. |
